Nadine Rubie, MSW, RSW

Nadine Rubie is on maternity leave!
Nadine Rubie is a counsellor and a registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree. Nadine received her Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and then her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. In addition to her education, Nadine is also a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

For over 15 years Nadine has worked in various clinical and community settings. Her dynamic career has included front line roles in community health as well as mental health, in addition to administrative roles in clinical supervision and leadership. Nadine has a passion for working with members of diverse and marginalized communities.

Nadine has experiences supporting youth, individuals and families struggling with mental health challenges, mood disorders, family conflict, parenting issues, racial and cultural identity stresses and psychotic disorders. Nadine is drawn to strengths-based, evidence-informed, and client-centered approaches such as Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioural theories and Mindfulness practices. Working with Nadine will often include looking inwards to your resources and also forwards to the future, meanwhile always staying true to an approach that is tailored to your unique needs and experiences.

Nadine is a calm, authentic and thoughtful professional who co-constructs a hopeful therapeutic space with clients in order to foster connection and personal growth. At the heart of her practice is a belief that the client is the “expert” in the room and has the capacity to make the changes they desire with self-awareness, support and a healthy dose of hope!
