Craig Cunningham, MSW, RSW
Craig Cunningham is a Registered Social Worker and has a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, focusing on supporting individuals, families, and groups. He has over 10 years of clinical counselling experience working with adults facing multiple life challenges including serious illness, trauma, grief and bereavement, mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, relationship and intimacy challenges, and issues of self-worth. Craig also volunteers as the Professional Consultant at Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region. He is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Canadian Association of Social Workers.
Taking a person-centred approach to providing support, Craig utilizes his calm demeanor, genuine and caring spirit, strong relationship-building skills, and clinical expertise to help his clients make change in their lives. He uses a range of clinical interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution focused brief therapy, and motivational interviewing. Craig is available to help you work through challenges you are facing in your life in an empathetic, non-judgemental, and individualized way. He loves what he does and loves working with people to help them feel more in control of their lives.
Please note that due to a conflict of interest, Craig is unable to see clients who are affiliated with the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre (GRRCC), including active patients or caregivers, those who are eligible to access GRRCC supports, or those who have been a patient or caregiver at GRRCC within the past 5 years.
Craig will be available to offer virtual appointments on Mondays and Wednesday evenings and occasional Saturdays.
