Stacey Wadden, MSW, RSW

Stacey Wadden is a counsellor and registered social worker

Stacey is a counsellor and a registered social worker in good standing with the OCSWSSW. She received her undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Studies and went on to complete her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Waterloo. In her love for continuing education, Stacey received an Addiction Certification from Wilfred Laurier while also completing her Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. 

Stacey has years of experience in supporting individuals who struggle with mood disorders, mental health diagnoses, and addiction concerns. Her career has been focused on working field of mental health and addictions with additional experience in crisis intervention. Stacey enjoys working with individuals navigating complex mental health or addictions in addition to those who are looking to strengthen their overall mindset and mental health.

Stacey is passionate about providing a non-judgemental and confidential space to explore the challenges and complexities that life can bring.  She has an eclectic approach to counselling, drawing on various skills, training, and experiences. Stacey strives to work collaboratively with individuals in creating goals and achieving new skills which can bring meaningful change, self-awareness, and personal growth.  Therapeutic approaches that Stacey uses include Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Solution Focused and Narrative Therapy, all the while coming from a trauma-informed lens.
