Rose Singh, MSW, RSW
Rose strives to create helpful and supportive therapeutic conversations with the people she works with. She collaborates with clients to co-construct goals in counselling, while facilitating their discovery of insights, capacities, and resources to address the challenges they are experiencing, and finding practical strategies to improve aspects of their lives.
Rose utilizes a person-centred approach, drawing on and integrating anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, 2SLGBTQ+-inclusive, strengths-based, task-centred, solution-focused, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, narrative, critical disability and critical social work practice.
Rose brings over two decades of experience working with persons of all ages, with a focus on supporting youth and adults living with mental health concerns, disabilities, substance use, family conflict and relationship issues.
Rose is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), an Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) member, and an Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC) member.
Rose has a multidisciplinary educational foundation including a Social Service Worker Diploma and Human Resources Management Post-Graduate Certificate from Conestoga College; an Honours Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of General Studies in Social Work, and Certificate in Studies of Child Abuse from the University of Waterloo; a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria; and a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. Rose is committed to life-long learning and is currently working towards a PhD in Social Work. Rose is available for appointments on Wednesdays.
